Following the Test & Delivery Review Board (TRB/DRB) in November 2023 with our customers Rovsing and Airbus Defence & Space (ADS), the Copernicus CRISTAL MPDU 32A/63A has been delivered to ADS Immenstaad and the relevant incoming inspection was successfully performed !
The MPDU is based on the iSAFT Rack Cabinet Power Distribution Unit product family.
The next step is the delivery of the MPDU 32A/63A for the Copernicus LSTM mission to Airbus Defence & Space in Spain in January 2024.
Thank you Rovsing, Airbus Defence & Space and ESA for your valuable support and co-operation !
Background: The objective of the Copernicus CRISTAL Mission (Copernicus Polar Ice and Snow Topographic Mission) is to provide enhanced retrieval of sea ice thickness and freeboard, land ice sheet/glacier elevation and ocean surface elevation, wave-height and wind speed by measurements implementing improvement in spatial resolution and performance.
The Mains Power Distribution Unit (MPDU) will be used to supply electrical power to all Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) belonging to one dedicated spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) environment. The Mains Power Distribution Unit will be used at various locations such as the spacecraft AIT locations, the environmental test facilities, etc.
