TELETEL has delivered to Airbus Defence & Space (Toulouse) the first EGSE to validate MicroCarb Instrument. The EGSE provides the platform interfaces and external heater lines to support integration and testing of the instrument. The EGSE is based on the iSAFT SpaceWire Simulator product supporting coordinated tests execution (Python) over multiple Data, Power and I/O Front Ends. Specifically, the main components of the EGSE include:
- EGSE Controller (based on the powerful iSAFT Product Line) which:
- Hosts the SpaceWire interface board.
- Provides SpaceWire simulation & recording functionality.
- Provides synchronization & trigger signals acquisition.
- Controls the Power Front End and acquires status.
- Controls the I/O Front End and acquires measurements & status.
- Controlled from CCS using CnC protocol.
- Provides real-time distribution of high rate SpaceWire science data to instrument workstations for data analysis & visualization.
- I/O Front End providing simulation and acquisition of multiple discrete interfaces (HPC, BSM, TSM, ASM etc.), simulation of heater loads, control of potentiometers.
- Generation of one (1) BIC Reset Signal.
- Acquisition of one (1) DPI Status.
- Acquisition of one (1) BIC Temperature.
- Acquisition of three (3) BIC Analog Spares.
- Acquisition of twelve (12) NTC15K Heaters Temperature & ten (10) spares.
- Acquisition of six (6) PT-1000 Heaters Temperature & ten (10) spares.
- OS-Link Front End, which provides TM/TC interface to the MicroCarb Instrument using OS-link physical links (provided by CNES).
- Power Front End, which provides LCL protected mains power and heaters power to the MicroCarb Instrument.
- Power Isolation Unit, which provides mains filtering & isolation, protection against peaks.
- Test fixture for auto-test of LCL and NTC15K / PT-1000 acquisition interfaces. Power Front End
